The Network’s Goals
- Continuously develop Armenian women’s ability to serve on boards and executive leadership teams.
- Assist in the visibility and recognition in the business environment of women serving or having relevant potential on the board and/or executive leadership team of companies.
- Create a simple of talented Armenian women who are interested, willing, and able to take on the responsibility of serving as members of the companies’ board and/or executive team.
- To promote opportunities for the exchange of experience and establishment of business contacts among the Network participants.
- Contribute to the establishment of relations between Armenian and foreign companies.

The aim of the training is to promote the representation and inclusion of women members on the Board of Directors of Armenian companies.
- acting board members who want to update their knowledge of board activities and current trends of corporate governance,
- executive team members and corporate governance officers (corporate secretaries, internal auditors, risk management and compliance officers, business consultants, etc.) who see their further growth as a board member,
- members of companies who would like to form a board or advisory board in their companies.
- essence, economic need and modern trends of corporate governance (ESG, sustainability, etc.),
- role of the board in the corporate governance system, the main functions, composition and structure, the statuses, rights and responsibilities of the board members,
- finance for non-financial board members,
- role of the board in developing the corporate strategy,
- legislation regulating the activities of companies in Armenia.
Hagen Schweinitz will hold two masterclasses during the training. This year’s topics are:
- Development of the Leadership Skills of Board Members,
- How to Become a Member of the Board of Directors.
During the training, the participants have the thematic communication opportunity with leading local experts in the field. This year’s topics are:
- The Role of the Internal Auditor in the Corporate Governance System,
- Human Resource Management,
- Environmental Education,
- Digitalization of Business.
Participants will be provided with electronic manuals covering the main topics of the training.
The training will be conducted by combining remote and offline methods of teaching.
The courses will generally be held two days a week: Tuesday and Thursday, two hours a day, from 16:00 to 18:00. The training schedule.
The training is summarized with a test exam, which will be available only to those who have actively participated in at least 80% of the training activities.
The test is conducted offline. Test questions are developed based on the training manuals.
The participant who answers at least 70% of the test questions correctly is awarded a certificate of successful completion of the training.
A participant who does not get the minimum threshold of correct answers to the test is given a certificate of participation in the training or an opportunity to retake the test.
Participants of the training are selected through a competition by a commission specially formed for that purpose.
Possible participant of the training should have:
- higher education and at least five years of professional work experience,
- public profile on the LinkedIn social network.
To attend the training, the potential participant submits an application through the Corporate Governance Center website, attaching a letter of interest and one letter of recommendation.
The training is FREE of charge.
The training is organized by the Corporate Governance Center with the support of the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE, www.cipe.org).
