Advocating for the integration of integrity and compliance standards in business, as well as encouraging the implementation of the RA Corporate Governance Code, the Corporate Governance Center concluded the three-day “Ethics and Anti-Corruption Compliance Program” training on October 24.
During the training, participants were introduced to the key components of an ethics and anti-corruption compliance program, such as the procedure for undertaking commitment to ethics and anti-corruption, risk assessment and management, structures for development, implementation and management of various policies and procedures, features of implementing the compliance function, procedure for educating, training and communicating with and motivating employees and partners, and approaches to introducing whistleblowing structures and regularly improving the program.
The training concluded with a business simulation exercise based on the “Six Thinking Hats” method. Within this framework, participants analysed case studies involving ethical and corruption risks and, acting within their assigned roles, sought practical solutions to mitigate these risks.
The choice of topic, the content, and the delivery of the training received high praise from participants.
The Corporate Governance Center plans to organise the “Ethics and Anti-Corruption Compliance Program” training again and encourages its stakeholders to test and enhance their knowledge on anti-corruption compliance through the online training developed by CGC.
The “Ethics and Anti-Corruption Compliance Program” training was implemented by the Corporate Governance Center, in collaboration with the
Center for International Private Enterprise and as part of the ‘‘Responding to Threats of Corrosive Capital in Armenia. Phase III” project, funded by the UK International Development from the UK Government.
