Training on “Ethics and Anti-Corruption Compliance Program”

On February 2, 4 and 8, the Corporate Governance Center conducted a training on “Ethics and Anti-Corruption Compliance Program” within the framework of the “Women on the Board of Directors” network. The final training session was dedicated to discussing situational cases.

Motives and principles of setting an Ethics and Anti-Corruption Compliance Program, responsibilities of boards and board members in managing the Program were discussed, the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and sanctions envisaged by the latter were introduced, ethical and corruption risk assessment procedures were clarified during the training.

Regular personnel training, use of tools to promote ethical behavior within the company and its partners, as well as establishment of a reliable internal control system were covered.

More than 15 representatives of about 10 companies took part in the training. According to the participants, the training fully met their expectations. They highly appreciated the content of the topic and practical discussions, format of combining online and face-to-face meetings. The participants mentioned that the training helped to raise their awareness on the topic, and expressed hope that such discussions would be more frequent.

The training was conducted by Narine Melikyan, the Director of the Corporate Governance Center.
At the end of the training, the participants were awarded certificates.
