On October 8, Grant Thornton Armenia and the Corporate Governance Center, within the framework of the Business Integrity Club, jointly organised a discussion on the “Implementation of the Corporate Governance Code“. The session was conducted by Azat Manukyan, Partner at Grant Thornton Armenia.
The special guest of the event was Kevin Coleman, Partner at Grant Thornton Ireland, who presented the importance of developing board evaluation practices as a key principle of the Code. He elaborated on the components, main framework, and methodology of board evaluation.
Narine Melikyan, Director of the Corporate Governance Center, drawing on the results of the Center’s review of annual corporate governance statements published by listed companies, highlighted key issues related to the implementation of the Code. She emphasised the importance of providing consulting support to companies at the current stage of implementation.
Participants had the opportunity to share their experiences and address their questions to the speakers.
