On August 9th, within the framework of the Business Integrity Club, the Corporate Governance Center organized the “UN Global Compact and Membership Opportunities” seminar.
The Seminar was conducted by the Center Director, Narine Melikyan. She presented the essence of the United Nations Global Compact, the advantages and obligations of joining, the procedure for joining, the necessity and format of developing a Communication on Progress, the experience of Armenian organizations in joining the initiative, and a comparative analysis with neighboring countries.
During the Seminar, Harutyun Eloyan, Head of the Loan Monitoring Division at the Risk Management Department of AraratBank OJSC, shared the Bank’s motivations for joining the UN Global Compact and its experience in preparing and publishing the Communication on Progress as a successful case.
The Seminar proceeded in an atmosphere of active discussions, allowing participants to get answers to their pressing questions and present their own approaches.
At the end of the event, the participants expressed their satisfaction with the Corporate Governance Center for covering another relevant topic in an accessible manner and providing the opportunity to participate.
