Open Doors Day on the Implementation of the RA Corporate Governance Code

Assessing progress in the implementation of the RA Corporate Governance Code is difficult without a systematic and measurable evaluation of corporate governance practices within organisations.

Against this backdrop, during the Open Doors Day event, the Corporate Governance Center presented its newly developed Corporate Governance Scorecard, a tool developed on the basis of the RA Corporate Governance Code.

The Scorecard is a quantitative assessment tool designed to evaluate the quality of corporate governance practices within organisations using measurable indicators. Presenting the tool, CGC Director Narine Melikyan highlighted its versatility, noting that it can be used for regulatory and supervisory purposes, as well as for public oversight and self-regulation.

During the event, participants had the opportunity to explore the practical application of the Scorecard and discuss the opportunities and challenges related to its use in Armenia.

The event concluded with a discussion of the questions raised by participants regarding the implementation of the Code.

The Open Doors Day was organised by the Corporate Governance Center, in collaboration with the Center for International Private Enterprise and as part of the ”Responding to Threats of Corrosive Capital in Armenia. Phase III” project, funded by the UK International Development from the UK government.
