On September 10, Narine Melikyan, Director of the Corporate Governance Center and Advisory Board Chair of the Armenian Women on the Board of Directors Network, took part as a speaker in a public discussion on the ILO Equal Remuneration Convention No. 100, jointly organized by UN Women, the International Labour Organization, and the World Bank.
Aiming to strengthen equal pay mechanisms in Armenia, the discussion featured expert presentations and panel sessions that examined the barriers to closing the gender pay gap and highlighted best practices.
In her remarks, Narine Melikyan highlighted the board’s essential role in guiding companies in line with the principles of diversity and fairness, and emphasised the need to develop remuneration policies based on these principles. She also referred to the relevant principles and provisions of the RA Corporate Governance Code.
