On May 21st, the Corporate Governance Center launched the “Women on the Board of Directors” training – 2024 with an introductory meeting.
During the meeting, participants were introduced to the purpose and main topics of the training, as well as the trainers, who include well-known local and international experts in corporate governance and related fields such as Narine Melikyan, Hagen Schweinitz, Ara Chalabyan, Elena Khachvankyan, Hasmik Khachatryan, Irina Chobanyan, Lilit Gevorgyan, and Sirarpi Grigoryan.
Emphasizing the strengthening of the principles of diversity, equality, and inclusiveness in the boards of Armenian companies, Narine Melikyan, Director of the Corporate Governance Center, specifically covered the mission and directions of activities of the Armenian Women on the Board of Directors Network.
During the meeting, the training participants had the opportunity not only to present their experience, motivations and expectations for participating in the training, but also to communicate with each other and the Network participants.
This year, the composition of training participants is quite diverse, representing business, public, and civil society sectors. Over the past three years, about 80 women have successfully completed the training, some of whom have joined the boards of Armenian organizations.
The “Women on the Board of Directors” training is organized by the Corporate Governance Center with the support of the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE).
