Ethics and Anti-Corruption Compliance Program

On April 25, the Corporate Governance Center re-launched the training on Ethics and Anti-Corruption Compliance Program.

In order to find out the participants’ position on corruption and its manifestations, the training started with a survey. 85% of the respondents think that corruption is a harm, and it should be eliminated. The respondents’ perceptions of corruption were quite clear; the participants’ awareness of corruption might be noted.

During the first day of the training, the motives and principles of setting an Ethics and Anti-Corruption Compliance Program, possible benefits for the private sector and society were presented. The presented material was based on the results of international research, as well as local experience.

The second meeting of the training is scheduled for April 27, and on April 29, the participants will have an opportunity to discuss practical cases related to ethics and anti-corruption compliance, and to substantiate the knowledge gained during the previous days of the training.

The training is conducted by Narine Melikyan, Director of the Corporate Governance Center.

The training is conducted with the support of the Center for International Private Enterprise (www.cipe.org) within the “Eurasia: Creating Enabling Environments for Constructive Capital, Phase II” project.
