“Armenia: integrity in the private sector” workshop

On December 15, the “Armenia: integrity in the private sector” workshop was held, organized by the Corporate Governance Center in cooperation with the RA Ministry of Justice.

The aim of the workshop was to increase the awareness of the business community representatives of Armenia about the culture of integrity, the motives of anti-corruption compliance, the public policy conducted, as well as the initiatives implemented in this direction.

During the workshop, the business community representatives were trained on issues related to the fight against corruption and the role of the business community in it.

Hasmik Tigranyan, the Head of Anti-Corruption Monitoring Division and National Coordinator of Armenia in OECD Anti-Corruption Network, presented the main anti-corruption reforms in Armenia, emphasizing the achievements registered as a result of the fight against corruption, the future directions of development and the role of the business sector in the fight against corruption.

Narine Melikyan, the Director of the Corporate Governance Center, presented the role of individual and collective anti-corruption efforts of business in the prevention of corruption. She detailed the main directions of activities and perspectives of development for the Business Integrity Club, as the first anti-corruption collective initiative of Armenia.
