On December 6, the Corporate Governance Center convened representatives from government agencies, SOEs, and the expert community for a dialogue on corporate governance in state-owned enterprises.
During the event, the Center’s Director, Narine Melikyan, presented the main findings of research with the same title, which served as the foundation for discussion.
The discussion participants mainly highlighted the need to improve the quality of corporate governance in SOEs and expressed their agreement with the proposed solutions for addressing the identified challenges. They also had the opportunity to share and substantiate their views on the issues and obstacles to implementing best corporate governance principles in Armenian SOEs.
The key observations from the discussion participants have been included in the “Corporate Governance in SOEs” research report, which will be presented by the Corporate Governance Center during a workshop dedicated to the topic. The Workshop is scheduled to take place on December 19-20 in Yerevan. Further details about the event will be announced soon.
