On July 22, 2022, the Corporate Governance Center hosted a masterclass on “Innovation and Diversity – Why we need both to guarantee economic success”, conducted by Ulrike Tagscherer, the Chief Innovation Officer at KUKA.
During the masterclass, the speaker reflected on the clarification of the essence of innovation, presentation of its types and main mistakes of companies regarding innovation.
In her speech, the speaker specifically emphasized the importance of diversity for innovation, explaining that people with different backgrounds and experiences often see the same problem in different ways, and by offering different solutions, they increase the probability of finding the best one. Ulrike also emphasized the importance of gender diversity as an important prerequisite for overcoming one-sided thinking and discovering innovative approaches to business development. She also shared her experience in ensuring gender diversity in innovation.
The masterclass took place with the attendees’ active participation and ended with a Q&A session and exchange of impressions. The participants of the event had an opportunity to express their satisfaction with the content of the masterclass, as well as with the presentation style and professional approaches of the speaker.
More than 40 people attended the masterclass, including the participants of the Business Integrity Club, Armenian Women on the Board of Directors network and other stakeholders. Partners from abroad were also hosted during the event.
The masterclass was organized within the “Center for Women’s Economic Empowerment: Promoting Women Leaders Globally in Economic Recovery, 2021-2022” project of the Center for International Private Enterprise.
